Comedian - Writer - Radio Host - Dan Rosenberg

ALL ABOUT ME...WRITTEN IN THE THIRD PERSON!

DAN ROSENBERG began his comedy career in 1991 as a member of the comedy team, EriDan. His former comedy partner joined the merchant marines (not really) and left Dan alone on the stage as a solo act.

Since beginning in Pittsburgh he has done over 2,000 club performances across the country from Los Angeles to New York. He can also be heard as a regular guest on radio shows all over this fine land (and Canada!) and his comedy clips can be heard on XM and SIRIUS Satellite radio.

In 1993 he moved to Los Angeles to pursue the dream of being a huge star in the comedy world…then a HUGE earthquake hit (6.8 Northridge Quake) and he ran back home to Pittsburgh where he honed his skills and toured as a feature and headliner around the Northeast and Midwest area.

In 1997 Dan headed south to “tourist city” USA – Orlando, Florida. There he performed comedy at the local clubs as well as others throughout the south. He started his own club called "Dr. Laff's Comedy and Magic Club" at the Radisson Twin Towers Hotel across from Universal Studios. While living in Orlando, Dan was the co-host of the television show "ORLANDO 2 NIGHT with Rikki and Dan", which aired on UPN 65 and also co-hosted “The Dan and Jeff Show” on the AM “Powerhouse” (100 Watts...on a good day) WAMT-AM.

In May of 1999, Dan was selected out of over 500 applicants to host his own show on FastBand GlobalCast, the worlds first 24-hour LIVE Internet webcast station. He got to perform daily via a 4-hour “Music – Talk – News” show for a global audience from the comfort of FastBand's Bourbon Street Studio. Plus, with the glass-encased studio, Dan got to see things most people pay to see. (A dollar at a time)

Dan also hosted "Dead Air LIVE" a LIVE call-in TV talk show that was broadcast on New Orleans Cable. His callers would call in and discuss any issue they wanted, and boy did they. Some shows, it was talk about the New Orleans Saints football team...others, tips on how to get a date (Dan was usually asking the caller!)

After the DotCom bust of 2000, Dan moved back to Los Angeles after a 7-year boycott of earthquakes. Since arriving in LA, Dan has been quite busy…He was in the Steve Guttenberg movie “P.S. Your Cat is Dead and also co-wrote and shot the pilot for a new TV series called “SCHMUCKS!” (It was a huge success...that's why you never heard of it!) It was such a success that it was re-shot in March of 2004...see it HERE. He also was cast to play a comedian named Dan Nagelberg in the feature film "Reeling in Reality" His scenes were cut out due to the fact that the movie was 3 hours too long. He has been promised by the director that he WILL make it onto the Directors Cut DVD. He has also performed in the theatre production of "The Master Impersonator" where he played Rodney Dangerfield, Gilbert Gottfried, Alec Baldwin, Casey Kasem and a few other actors that everyone can impersonate. (But NO JACK NICHOLSON!)

Dan has been seen Nationally on "The Tonight Show", "MTV's Real World New Orleans", and on ABC-TV’s "America’s Funniest People."

2006 marked the sixth performance for Dan at the Annual JUST FOR LAUGHS Comedy Festival in Montreal. (2000, West of the Fest, 2001, Best of the Fest-Host, 2002-2003 Best of the Fest, 2004 Best of the Fest Host, 2006 Best of the Fest)

Dan also hosted the semi-finals of the 7th annual BOSTON INTERNATIONAL COMEDY FESTIVAL and held a workshop on hosting.

Dan also hosted the LATE LATE LATE LATE SHOW at the House of Blues for the 1999 and 2000 New Orleans Comedy Festival, and was scheduled to appear for a third straight year in 2001, but unfortunately couldn't get a flight due to the 9/11 attacks.

Dan delivers his material as if each member of the audience is a close personal friend. He loves to interact with the audience, and make them a part of the show. Dan’s ability to improvise and work “off the cuff” is the highlight of watching him perform.

He can be seen regularly in Los Angeles at the club he co-owns, THE COMEDY DISTRICT in Culver City, CA as well as at The World Famous Improv and The Laugh Factory.

Dan's newest book "The Book on Hosting: How Not to Suck as an Emcee" is now available worldwide. He has done workshops based on the book from California to Maine.

Dan is also a great key note speaker at many meetings, workshops and seminars. He has presented training sessions using humor in sales for the automotive, insurance and real estate industry. He is also writing two new books "The Book on Time Management: For People That Don't Have Time for Time Management" and "The Book on Selling Cars: Using Comedy To Sell More"

His first CD "Dan Rosenberg...Ad Libs And All" is now available.

He lives in Santa Monica, CA with his lovely wife Rebecca and their 21 month old son Joshua. (oh yeah, and their dog Cooper!)
